SHILLONG: A women succumbed to her injuries after a betel-nut tree fell on her in Bamondanga, Phulbari in West Garo Hills.
Sukromoni Basumatary lodged a complaint that on June 11 afternoon, one unidentified person went to the residence of his sister, Ahila Daimary and cut down one betel-nut tree from her garden, which fell on her.
In the incident, the lady sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Phulbari, where she succumbed to her injuries.
