SHILLONG: A woman in Ri Bhoi has accused a “KSU member” of molesting her on the night of June 3.
In an FIR filed at Byrnihat police outpost, the woman said she met the accused War Lamin, who according to her is a member of the KSU, at 15 Mile around 8.30pm on June 3 when she was on her way home. Lamin offered her to drive till home. However, after she got into the vehicle, he allegedly drove beyond 15 Mile and started molesting her. As she tried to resist his advances, the accused was forced to drop the woman home.
Later she confided the incident to another woman who revealed that she too was molested by the same person. When contacted, Ri Bhoi SP Ramesh Singh said that the accused has been arrested and investigation is on.
