BSF fires stun grenade at miscreants

SHILLONG: Border Security Force personnel were forced to lob a ‘Stun Grenade’ to disperse miscreants who were moving suspiciously at Purakhasia Border Outpost in West Garo Hills
Inspector Vivekanand Kumar, Company Commander, 75 Battalion BSF, Purakhasia lodged an FIR saying that on June 11 morning, BSF patrolling party of Kochu detected suspicious movement of a group of miscreants A’dokgre led by Nonshing Ch Sangma along with 25 cattle near BP No. 1101/15 in AOR of Kochu A’dokgre BOP.
Further, the BSF patrolling party also detected two miscreants moving towards Indo-Bangladesh Border along with 4 to 5 numbers of cattle.
When the BSF patrolling party asked the miscreants to stop, they pelted stones at the BSF personnel and in the process, BSF personnel Sub Inspector Girdhari Lal Yadav was assaulted by Nonshing Ch Sangma, causing injuries to him.
Following this incident, BSF personnel lobbed one ‘Stun Grenade’ to disperse the miscreants who managed to flee along with the cattle.
