TURA: There is an uncertainity over who will head the Beparipara Lower Primary School in South West Garo Hills after cases of corruption and forgery were unearthed recently.
The said school was headed by Saidul Miah with Aktar Hussain as second teacher and Anyal Haque as the third teacher.
However, during the school managing committee meeting held in November 2016, Saidul Miah, the head teacher was demoted for misappropriating an amount of Rs 52000 from the midday meal scheme.
With the demotion of Miah, second teacher Aktar Hussain was next in line to take charge of the School. But a recent RTI filed by third teacher, Anyal Haque has revealed that the class XII certificates submitted by Hussain during his appointment are faked.
Hussain had submitted his class XII certificates, which were allegedly issued by the All India Educational Parishad. The reply to the RTI filed by Anyal Haque with the Ministry of HRD in New Delhi clearly stated that the All India Educational Parishad has neither been set up nor recognised by the Ministry.
Earlier the SMC meeting held in November last year had approved Anyal Haque to take charge of the school and promoted him to the post of Head Teacher.
However, the District Mission Coordinator of South West Garo Hills is yet to approve the promotion officially.
Haque has sought the intervention of the district Deputy Commissioner, the District Mission Coordinator (DMC) of West Garo Hills and the Sub Divisional School Education Officer (SDSEO) to make the promotion official.
A fresh appeal has also been dispatched to the Joint District Mission Coordinator/Sub Divisional School Education Officer in Ampati.
