TURA: Former Indian captain Baichung Bhutia who will arrive in Tura on November 18th will be the chief guest during the final of the 6th MP Cup Football Tournament organized by the Sports Academy, P.A. Sangma Foundation in Tura.

This would be Baichung’s first visit to Tura and the organisers are expecting a crowd of around twenty five thousand to have a glimpse of the most famous Indian soccer star.

Baichung, who is considered to be the torchbearer of Indian football in the international arena, currently plays for United Sikkim, a club that he owns.

He is often nicknamed the Sikkimese Sniper because of his shooting skills in football.

Baichung, who had visited the State capital Shillong earlier in the year, was the first Indian footballer to play professional football in England.
