Arrested Seng Longkmie Mawiong chief in hospital

 SHILLONG: The president of Seng Longkmie Mawlai Mawiong Umjapung –Shanka War Pakyntein, who was arrested by the city police on Thursday in connection with an assault case, was admitted to a city hospital on Friday after she complained of hypertension.

Pakyntein had allegedly assaulted one Darihun Lyngdoh Nonglait (21) on September 17 on suspicion that the latter had acted in a pornographic movie.

Informing this, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Vivek Syiem said, “An obscene video of Darihun was circulated by her boyfriend via MMS.

“The Seng Longkmie Mawiong Umjapung tortured her thinking that she was a call girl,” Syiem said.

Syiem also informed that Darihun’s boyfriend was also arrested on Thursday.

He was later released on bail.
