NONGPOH: Ahead of the upcoming 2018 State Assembly Poll, Badhok Nongmalieh, in a hope of getting Congress ticket had on June 24 formally joined the Congress Party from Mawsmai Primary Unit Congress Committee falling under the Jirang Constituency.
Nongmalieh is one the eminent businessmen in Ri Bhoi, who have recently declared to contest the upcoming 2018 polls from Jirang Constituency.
Nongmalieh, along with other supporters formally joined the party in a meeting held at Mawsmai village where the Mawsnai Primary Unit Congress Committee. In the meeting, the Mawsmai Primary Unit Congress Committee has also appointed Nongmalieh as the vice president of the Committee.
Nongmalieh has also assured of contesting the upcoming 2018 polls from Jirang Constituency where the Mawsmai Primary Unit Congress Committee had decided to give him full support in the upcoming elections.
