Two children killed in accident

Pratapgarh (UP), Jul 3 (PTI) Two children were today killed while the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Ballia was injured when his SUV hit their cycle on the Raebareli-Varanasi Highway here, police said. Sandeep (13) and Anand (11) were going to school this morning when a SUV of CMO Dr Santosh Srivastava hit them and overturned killing both the children on the spot and injuring the CMO, they said. The condition of the CMO was stated to be serious. The SUV driver fled from the spot, they said. Police is probing the matter. PTI
