Traffic arrangement
The SP, East Khasi Hills has informed that the new road from Earle Sanatorium near City Hut Dhaba to Little Blossom School near Hotel Polo Towers has been made into a two-way route. Vehicles climbing up to Police Bazar from Polo will have to take the route from Orchid Hotel via CM’s residence.

Recitation
Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban will organise a recitation competition in English and Bengali as part of the 10th Inter Shillong Cultural Event which will be held on July 9 at 10 am & 1 pm, respectively at Bangiya Sahitya Parishad, Jail Road.

Dalai Lama birthday
The Tibetan community of Shillong will celebrate the 82nd birthday of the 14th Dalai Lama at Upper Lumparing Buddhist Monastery on July 6. The celebration will begin with the prayers and official ceremony will start at 9 pm.

The Principal and the management of St. Mary’s College congratulated the teaching, non-teaching staff and students for the results in the NEHU under graduate final examination 2017. The college secured a total of 39 positions in various streams.
