Meghalaya State ‘A’ Chess Championship

SHILLONG: With the conclusion of the fifth round of the Meghalaya State “A” Championship, H.D Sutnga of Shillong is leading the tournament with 5 points followed by six other players from different districts with 4 points each. They are Silkam A. Sangma, Barbith Sangma, N. Hajong from Garo Hills, G.Chakravarty from Shillong and T. Dhar from Jaiantia Hills. All together there are 45 qualified players selected and Donors are taking part for the top four spots to represent the state in the National Challenger in Ahmedabad (Gujarat) which will be held in August.
