SHILLONG: Laban moved to provisional first place in the First Division football tournament with a 2-1 victory over Marbisu in Polo on Wednesday. Kitboklang Pale with a brace (18′ & 71′) was the star of the day for Laban while Socialborn Kurbah scored the solitary goal for Marbisu in the 44th minute of the well fought contest. On Thursday Riatsamthiah will play Imson at 4:15PM.
Meanwhile, Mawreng beat Lawmei 2-0 and Mylliem hold Mawphlang 1-1 in the third division matches on Wednesday.
