3 killed in separate road accidents

SHILLONG: Two women died while several sustained injuries in different road accidents in the State.
On Tuesday evening, a vehicle (number not known) knocked down one woman named Indira Nongrum (50) near Mawlyndep under Sohryngkham outpost. The victim sustained injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Matter is under enquiry.
In another accident, on July 8 one vehicle (number not known) fatally knocked down Ribaitki Dkhar at Ladrymbai in East Jaintia Hills.
Another road accident took place on July 10, when one Bolero (AS-10A-7091) driven by Suhal Ahmed capsized at Khliehtyrshi in West Jaintia Hills.
As a result, the driver and one occupant sustained injuries and the matter is under enquiry.
Meanwhile, a woman identified asArbina Ryntathiang succumbed to her injuries when the auto-rickshaw she was travelling on along with her family plunged down a gorge after a log rolled down a hill collided with the auto at Mawlyndep, Ri-Bhoi, around 2:30 pm. Six other occupants including three children were injured. The family belongs to Pyndengnongbri village, Mairang.
Ibaphylla Ryntathiang, Batimila Ryntathiang (30), Shanborlang Ryntathiang (19), Mewanbanshan Ryntathiang (5), Samebanteiskhem Ryntathiang (3) and 2-year-old Ericson Ryntathiang were injured.
