Put an end to open urination: HYC to govt

SHILLONG: The HYC, through its education secretary on July 10, wrote to the CEO of Municipal to take action on the use of open spaces as toilets.
In a statement issued here, the HYC said that the people relieve themselves in the open is embarrassing and unhygienic.
Pointing to the parking lot at Garikhana, where several drinking water pipes are set up, the HYC stated that urination in such places will cause harm to health repercussions on the people.
In this connection, the HYC has urged the traditional heads and the State Government to look into the matter.
