SHILLONG: Chief Secretary Y. Tsering has said that due procedure will be followed while examining the complaint against Government official HM Shangpliang and his reply.
The pressure groups and the BJP had sought action against Shangpliang for taking part in a Congress party meeting at Lawbah, Mawsynram as shown in a video clip.
After the matter was brought to the notice of the government, the Personnel Department had issued a show cause notice following which Shangpliang replied.
Though the Lawbah unit of the All Mawsynram Development Council had stated that the official was informing the people about MHIS scheme, the video clip shows Shangpliang speaking about mission 2018 at the meeting of the primary unit of the Congress party.
