TURA: Two police personnel, including a woman, are among five persons arrested in North Garo Hills for barging into a house and assaulting a family over a relationship dispute late Friday night in Resubelpara town of North Garo Hills.
The attack took place well past midnight of Friday at Dekachang locality of Resubelpara when the five attackers, that included a police couple, forced their way into the house of civilian Tezeng K Marak and assaulted him, his girlfriend and a sister.
The attack was allegedly led by the police couple Tesri K Sangma and her husband Shembordeny Kregar over a case of personal enmity with Tezeng who was reportedly married to Tesri’s younger sister Salchi but was now living separately.
The victim claims they were not married but was previously engaged.
