SHILLONG: It was an interaction that reflected the positive vibes that have improved the life of the Street children who are being trained in different skills by Shillong Reach Ministry, a voluntary Christian organization, during their visit to Sadar Police Station here.
These children who were once subjected to hardship and sufferings are now getting ready to take control of their own life by virtue of the training they have undergone at the patronage of Shillong Reach Ministry.
Some of them are undergoing beautician course while some getting trained to become tailors. Some on them are pursuing studies.
The Sadar Police station has chipped in the efforts to make these children’s life better by arranging to provide warm water to the Reach Ministry for the children from some city hotels which used to charge earlier for the same.
The police station also arranged a barbar who will give a haircut to each of these children once a month. The police have further assured to facilitate the children to enjoy a show of movie in city cinema halls once a week for their recreation.
