SHILLONG: The Campaign for Change, an organisation that creates political awareness on laws and policies in the State, has released its official music video, ‘Ka sur jingkylla’ (voice of change).
The music video was launched by the organization’s official campaigner, KHADC chief executive member PN Syiem, on Thursday.
Speaking at the launch function in the city, Syiem flayed the State Government for not having policies on education, farmers, youth, sports and tourism, among others.
According to him, there should be strong laws to protect the identity of tribals and policies to uplift the State. “We have numerous human and natural resources but it has not been of any help as the State Government doesn’t have policies so far to tap the resources,” he said.
Making references to the chief minister’s inauguration spree, Syiem said, “Our representatives are busy inaugurating public toilets…Where do we expect our State to go?”
The organization, known in the political circuit as an “open secret wing” of the newly formed People’s Democratic Front (PDF), was formed on November 15, 2016, by youths who are expecting a change. It says ‘Your expectation, our mission’.
