Leaders of the Non-Gazetted Employees’ Association of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council pose for a photo with newly elected CEM, Boston Ch Marak after submitting a memorandum seeking the release of their pending salaries. Although the High Court of Meghalaya in its order dated September 14, 2016 had directed Council authorities to pay the employees 2 months’ salary every month till their dues are cleared. The salariesare still pending for 11 months now.  

 

The partly constructed building of Mawryngkneng Higher Secondary School. The project is hanging fire for over two years.
