TURA: Legendary Garo rock artiste, Browny R Marak, lead vocalist of the famous group Riprap, was felicitated on his 50th birthday at his home town of Nishangram, near Damra, on Monday. The famous group burst into the music scene in 1989 with the hit album “Salgro Jolni Nomil” and went on to sell several lakh albums for well over twenty long years.
Browny with his powerful vocals became a household name for thousands of his fans and he and his group went on to perform in major cities and towns of the north east as well as the rock capitals of Mumbai and Bangalore. Riprap is currently back in the recording studios and are due to release their latest album sometime later this year.
