The Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills district has informed that Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan Mumbai has instituted an award ‘Yashwantrao Chavan National Award 2017’ to individuals/institutions in recognition for their outstanding contribution to national integration, democratic values, social and economic development. IGNOU
The last date for submission of the entrance test application form for IGNOU Openmat has been extended to August 21.
Orientation
The 9th orientation programme of the Regional Institute of Science & Technology Meghalaya was held at Techno City, Ri Bhoi district. Around 300 students and parents participated in the programme. Motivational talks, student-teacher interactions, and parent-teacher dialogues was also carried out during the programme.

Cleaning drive

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Meghalaya unit, has deferred the inauguration of its head office on Jowai Road in Laitumkhrah. The office was scheduled for inauguration on Saturday.
