New office bearers

The Seng Samla Mawlai Mawroh in its meeting held recently elected new members for 2011-2016 with president, HBR Lyngdoh Nongpiur, Vice President Pynshai Lyngdoh Nongpiur and Ksanborlang Pathaw, General Secretary ED Kharnaior and thirteen others.Meanwhile, the Cantonment Vigilance Committee in its recent meeting elected new office bearers of the Yuva Morcha with Sunny Singh as the president, Rajen Singh as the secretary, Vikram Thapa as the Assistant Secretary, Ravi Singh as the Publicity Secretary, Balbin Singh as the Cultural and sports secretary, Sunny Singh (Junior) as the treasurer besides 4 executive members.

Cleaning drive

The Dorbar Shnong Mawlai Mawroh will conduct a cleaning drive on December 12. In this regards roads will be closed right from morning till the drive is completed. Residents are to meet their respective Rangbah Dongs before the drive.

Condolence

The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides have extended their condolences to the bereaved family members of (L) LK Sailo (90) who was the former Secretary of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides. He was popularly known as ‘Scout Man’ amongst the scouts and guides in the state.

 PPLO demand

The Poor People Leader organisation (PPLO) has asked the government to speed up the process of placing the working scheme of the District Councils.According to PPLO, the District Council has submitted the working scheme since three months but the government has not taken an action as yet.
