Age relaxation for civil service examinees under govt’s consideration: KHNAM

SHILLONG: Meghalaya government is considering the demand of Khun Hynniwtrap National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) to raise the upper age limit for the local candidates aspiring to appear the Civil Services Examination conducted by Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC).

 

The KHNAM has informed that the Principal Secretary, Personnel department has confirmed that their demand for age relaxation for Civil Services examination is under process. 

 

In a statement, KHNAM youth wing president, Thomas Passah said they received a confirmation over the phone to KHNAM members.

 

“It’s a positive news for the many educated unemployed of the state,” he stated in a press conference here.

 

However, the KHNAM youth wing said, it would keep following up the progress in this regard in the next two days, the statement added.
