116 teachers suspended in Assam for foul play during B. Ed exam

GUWAHATI: Assam government has suspended 116 teachers with immediate effect after they had been caught adopting unfair means while sitting for B-ED examination under Krisha Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) in Assam.
Assam’s education minister Dr Himanta Bishwa Sarma informed that the state education department had collected the names of the teachers who were expelled from examination hall by the KKHSOU authorities after they had been caught red handed while adopting unfair means during B. Ed examination.
Out of these 116 suspended teachers, 93 were working with the state government, 22 were working under Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) and one was working under Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) authority.
