SHILLONG: One woman was arrested by the city police along with suspected heroine powder here on Wednesday.
The woman Janita Ryngksai (25) wife of Sujit Singh of Barathar was intercepted by the police near Civil Hospital while she was travelling in a local taxi. 0.43 gram of suspected heroine powder was discovered from her possession.
The woman was arrested under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and was later taken to Sadar Police Station.
