State gears-up for Jr National Archery C’ship

 SHILLONG: The state is all set to host the 34th Junior National Archery Championships at Cricket Ground in the J.N.Sports Complex here from December 4-9.

The Archery Association of Meghalaya, which has Chief Minister Mukul Sangma as the cheif patron, also announced the names of the participants from the state who were selected based on the open selection trials conducted on November 5.

The event is also seen as a boost to the sport which has a sizeable following here.

Kdpulang Lyngdoh, Sunderwell Marwein, Bahaman Lyngkhoi, Kitbok Pasi

Indian Round (Girls)

Paisuklin Pdahsiej, Shidalin Paliar, Nisha Syiem, Neha Boro

Recurve (Boys)

David S Lyngdoh, Mariabiang Latam, Arrowstar Wanniang, Puran Gurung

Recurve (Girls)

Rose M Jyrwa, Risha Syiemlieh, Heimonmi Nongtdu, Streamlet Syiemlieh
