The meeting of Marbaniang clan of Raid Laban and Lawsohtun will be conducted on September 9 at Laban Bengalee Boys’ School at 2 pm.
Carrom C’ship
The Madanrting Carrom Club will organise the 8th Madanrting Open Carrom Championship at the community hall from September 26- 30. The last date for submission of application forms is September 23.

Villages transfer
The Government of Meghalaya, in a notification issued, has trans-ferred three villages of Selsella C&RD Block to Demdema C&RD Block and ten villages under Demdema Block to Selsella C&RD Block respectively. The trans-ferred villages of Selsella C&RD Block to Demdema C&RD Block are Nolbari, Old Bhaitbari and Khowajori (Gajbari). The trans-ferred villages under Demdema Block to Selsella C&RD Block are Batabari, Chirakowa, Koikuri, Tarapara, Goalgaon, Boldamgre, Jotchugre, Peradanga, Nekikona and Morasuti. This was informed by the Commissioner and Secretary, Community & Rural Development Department.
Scouts & Guides
The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides will host the National General Assembly of the Indian Scout Guide Fellowship at Bharat Scouts and Guides Headquarters, Shillong from September 8 to 10. Delegates from Indian Scout Guide Fellowship from different states will participate. Members from Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, among others will also attend the Assembly. The inauguration will be at 7 pm on September 8.
