SHILLONG: The son of Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh, Nathaniel Osbert Rymmai, and others filed FIRs after a woman claimed that they were her clients.
The lady also claimed that Rymmai was the father of her child.
The post in Khasi by one Phiba Sharai alias Rina was on the Facebook site ‘Thad Madan’.
She had claimed that her customers till date were 22 students, 65 college students, a teacher of All Saints’ School named Deepak Sutra Dhar, three ministers of Meghalaya and the owner of Marvelene’s Inn “who is the father of my child and his name is Nathaniel Osbert Rymmai, whom I used to lovingly call Bah Is”.
East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak said on Tuesday that following the post, Rymmai and the teacher of All Saints’ School had lodged separate complaints.
Earlier, a doctor from Nazareth Hospital, Hampher Kynjing, also lodged an FIR saying Sharai, in one of her posts, included his name as one of her customers in an attempt to defame him.The SP said three cases will be registered following the FIRs.
He also informed that the original post was found to be deleted.
“We will write to Facebook to get more clues on the author of the post,” the SP added.
