SHILLONG:The Mawryngkneng KSU and FKJGP have set December 5 as deadline for the government to reinstate BDO MS Sangma who was recently transferred to Baghmara.

In a memorandum submitted to the C&RD Minister Saleng Sangma here on Tuesday, the KSUand the FKJGP said that said that the BDO has been victimized for his brave intention to clean up the mess of the block.

‘‘If the BDO is not reinstated then we have to resort to other course of action against the anti- people approach of the Government,” they said in the memorandum .

The transfer order for MS Sangma came after the anomalies in the implementation of MGNREGS were highlighted by the two NGOs of the state. The two NGOs have condemned the initiative of the Government to punish the officer.
