SHILLONG: The fifteen-day Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was inaugurated by the Director of in NEIGRIHMS in the OPD foyer at 10 am on Saturday.
Besides the Director, Deputy Director (Administration), Dean, Medical Superintendent and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
Among the audiences, senior faculty, paramedical staffs and patient attendants attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Dr. D.M. Thappa and all participants took pledge to devote at least 200 hours in a year/2 hours per week towards Swachh Abhiyan.
All the senior faculty and officials led by the Director then had cleaning drive at the hospital.
A half-day workshop organised by the Department of Hospital Administration was also observed on the occasion wherein speakers deliberated upon different issues related to sanitation and hygiene.
The programme as per devised scheduled shall run for the next 14 days under the supervision of the Medical Superintendent, NEIGRIHMS.
