Sensitizing programme
A one-day sensitizing programme for elected representatives on integration of Urban Risk Management Reduction Element in Development Plan will be held at Pinewood Hotel at 2pm on Thursday. Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma will be present as the chief guest.
Foundation Stone
The inauguration of the ICU Unit and laying of the foundation stone for reconstruction of Ganesh Das Hospital will be held at 12 noon at Ganesh Das Hospital on Friday. Chief Minister DR Mukul Sangma will be the chief guest.
Literacy campaign
A computer literacy programme organized by Department of Computer Science and application in collaboration with the Social Department of St Edmund’s College will be held at Mawlynnong village from December 1 to 3.
Seminar
The Eastern Air Command Shillong, hosted a seminar conducted by Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS) on Monday on the topic “China as a Strategic Challenge.” A number of distinguished speakers delivered their views on the topic.. Prof Lawrence Prabhakar from the Madras Christian College (Department of Political Science) besides others also participated in the seminar.
