SHILLONG: The people of Ranikor have expressed their discontentment over the hasty decision of the State Health department to transfer Dr JJ Kharjana from Ranikor CHC to Sohiong CHC without a genuine reason.
“Dr Kharjana has only served in the Ranikor CHC hardly two years and his sudden transfer order hassurprised the people of this area who still fail to understand the main reason behind his transfer”, one of the residents said.
Some of the NGOs joining the people in their opposition have alleged that there could be something behind the hasty transfer of the doctor and that they are going to agitate over this decision of the government and at the same time demand for more doctors to Ranikor CHC to cater to the 30,000 households in the area.
