TURA: Williamnagar police in East Garo Hills are on a search to arrest a man who has been allegedly raping his seven-year-old twin stepdaughters for the last many months in the village of Cheran Songgital.
The gory incident came to light after the victims’ family came to Williamnagar police station to report the crime on Wednesday morning.
The accused stepfather has been identified as Raj M Sangma, who has fled the village after his crime was discovered. He is currently absconding.
The young girls were brought to Williamnagar civil hospital for medical treatment.
