HSPDP members extend support to PDF

NONGSTOIN: In a boost to the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) Nongstoin area, the former youth wing president and general secretary of the HSPDP Nongstoin area formally joined the PDF as active members.
Besides the top leaders of HSPDP, the youth leaders of the party also decided to join the PDF.
“We are not seeing any signs that the HSPDP would bring a change in our constituency”, said Marbiang Nongsiej the former president of HSPDP youth wing.
Nongsiej also criticized the leaders of the HSPDP who according to him, chose only to get rid of people rather than unite them.
He also said that the leaders could have also accepted people from other parties who are willing to join the party.
“We came to know that the party leaders of HSPDP Nongstoin under D.Jyndiang MLA are jealous about the activities done by the youth wing.
HSPDP had also raised many questions regarding the relief given by the youth wing to the victims in Nongspung accident few months back” Nongsiej said.
Former General Secretary of HSPDP youth wing Byrki Unit told media persons that all the units within Nongstoin polling station always believed and followed the former president of youth wing Marbiang Nongsiej and that they will never betray him as a leader  and they will follow whereever he leads them.
Meanwhile, the general meeting of the HSPDP Nongpyndeng Primary unit held on Wednesday decided to dissolve the unit and also the women’s wing.
Markos Marwein, president of the unit told reporters on Thursday that the reason to dissolve the unit was since the members were unhappy with the policy of Jyndiang .
The meeting which was attended by 50 members including Secretary M. Nongsiej, P. W. Thongni Joint Secretary, Y. Dkhar President, Women’s Wing of the HSPDP Nongpyndeng unit have decided not to support the HSPDP in the upcoming polls.
Reliable sources said that the HSPDP Nongpyndeng unit will also extended its support to the PDF.
Sources said that HSPDP members and leaders of other political parties in Nongstoin will formally join PDF on September 30 in the general meeting to be held at Bishop Hall, New Nongstoin.
