SHILLONG: UDP MLA Jemino Mawthoh has urged the state government to fill the numerous vacant posts in the agriculture department.
Speaking to mediapersons on Sunday, Mawthoh said, “The posts of Director of Agriculture, Director of Agriculture (Research and Training) and Director of Horticulture are the same. It will affect the functioning of a department as only one person is in charge.”
Mawthoh added that there are other posts at the district level which are lying vacant.
The MLA questioned that though the government talks of job creation, there are numerous posts that need to be filled.
