Cultural show in H’bill Festival

KOHIMA: The North East cultural programme on the second day of the week-long Hornbill festival attracted a record number of people as the cultural presentation of the eight NE states melted beautifully under a single platform in Kisama.

Tourists both from the region, mainland as well as from abroad thronged the picturesque Naga Heritage Village at Kisama to witness the presentation of songs and dances of the region where performers swayed to the synchronized drum beats of their respective presentations.

Arunachal Pradesh presented Goya Sedong Se dance, Assam performed the Bodo Dahal Thungri, Manipur-Lhou Shah Dance, Meghalaya-the Hoko dance, Mizoram-the Cheraw dance and Khuallan, Sikkim-Tamang Selo dance and Singhi Chham while Tripura performed the Hozagiri dance.

The day also witnessed the much awaited Hornbill Motor Rally, which saw foreign participants. (UNI)
