Missing city boys found in Guwahati

SHILLONG: Assam police on Wednesday rescued two students of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, who were allegedly kidnapped from Shillong on Tuesday, from Jalukbari in Guwahati.
Police said the 16-year-olds from Laitumkhrah had gone missing on Tuesday and an FIR was filed at Laitumkhrah PS on Tuesday night. The relatives met top police officials here on Wednesday requesting them to closely follow up the case.
The police said the two boys were spotted first at Maligaon and then at Adabari in Guwahati.
As Assam police was alerted, the duo was traced at Jalukbari in Guwahati.
The police will investigate to find out if it was a kidnapping case.
Meanwhile, a police team from Shillong has already left for Guwahati to take custody of the two boys.
