NONGSTOIN: A woman was allegedly assaulted in Lyngdohmasi, Mairang in West Khasi Hills.
The woman identified as Rilir Sawkmie (45) filed an FIR that on October 1 at 4 pm, Phina Khyllait along with her daughters assaulted her. According to the FIR, Khyllait and her daughters chopped Sawkmie’s hair, cut her nose using a blade. Sources said that the family attacked Sawkmie because she was allegedly having an affair with Kyllait’s husband, Marton Basaiawmoit.The case has been registered against the three accused and the interrogation is on.
