Mumbai, Oct 11 (PTI) Taapsee Pannu, who will be seen in the biopic of ex-hockey captain Sandeep Singh, said the film is commercial in nature and will also have elements of romance. The film, to be helmed by director Shaad Ali, will feature Diljit Dosanjh as Sandeep. Taapsee will play his love interest in the movie. “Shaad Ali’s film is a biopic shown from a love story perspective. It is a very commercial and young film. I am playing a national level hockey player in the film and the character is based on a real person. The girl existed but we are not disclosing who she was as of now. I am really excited for that,” Taapsee told PTI. Along with the untitled biopic, Taapsee will also feature in “Mulk”, a social thriller based on real life events. “‘Mulk’ is a very different film. I am getting back to something more intense and hard hitting.” Directed by Anubhav Sinha, “Mulk” also features Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapur, Prateik Babbar, Ashutosh Rana and Neena Gupta. Taapsee said the movie is a challenging project for her. “The line up of cast we have, from Rishi Kapoor to Rajat Kapoor, as an actor it is going to be one of the most challenging spaces to be in.” The actor said she is “excited” to go in the intense zone again after a light-hearted film “Judwaa 2”.
