Afghan President arrives in India, meets Kovind

New Delhi : Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani arrived here on Tuesday on a day-long visit. He met his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

Ghani, who landed at the Palam airport at 8 a.m., met Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted that Sushma Swaraj called on Ghani and discussed bilateral and regional issues.

The Afghan leader is set to hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. (IANS)
