A Decade with Tigers: Supremacy. Solitude. Stripes by Shivang Mehta is a tribute to the beast who for decades had remained the ‘brand ambassador’ of Indian wildlife till the lions of the Gir took over a few years ago. A journalist-turned-PR professional, Mehta’s love for nature forced him to venture into the wilderness. He is now an avid traveller and nature photographer and his love for the forests of Kumaon impelled him to choose Corbett as his main area of work. The book, which was released recently, is a collation of his adventures and tryst with the royal animal. The volume chronicles legendary tiger mothers and male tigers of the past decade, as well as their tales of survival, complemented by exquisite images by Mehta.
