SHILLONG: HSPDP president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit said on Monday political appointments are a wasteful expenditure.
Reacting to the recent ruling of the Meghalaya High Court, Basaiawmoit said his party has always opposed political appointments.
Lauding the High Court ruling, he said this will make the next government easier in saying “no” to such appointments.
Basaiawmoit informed that the party will hold its proposed public rally on December 12 at Malki ground to seek support for the 2018 Assembly elections.
On November 28, the party will hold a workshop for its candidates to sensitise them about the issues of the party.
