Mahindra Great Escape on November 18

SHILLONG: The Mahindra Great Escape, a one day off roading event will kick off on November 18 from Mawjrong in East Khasi Hills, wherein participants will drive a total distance of 25 kms.

Informing this during a Press conference on Tuesday, Ashwin Naik, secretary of India Motor Sports Club, said that the 147th event will be conducted in Shillong.

“This will be the 5th time in Shillong. It will start from Cherrapunjee Cafe and travel the mountainous region there for 25 km. Registration will be at 8-00 in the morning,” he said.

He informed that there will be a separate category for women drivers who compete for women’s category trophy and take home a set of Maxxis Mud Terrain tyres.

Winners of each location are invited on an all-expense paid trip for the final competition held at the Mahindra Adventure Off Road Training Academy, Igatpuri, Maharashtra to compete and take away a New Mahindra Thar CRDe 4×4.
