NONGSTOIN: The Hima Nongstoin Land Owner Coal Trader & Producer Association (HNLOCTPA) on Wednesday slammed the Coordination Committee of Coal Owners, Miners & Dealers Forum (SCCCOMDF) under chairman Sonny Khyriem for claiming that it was the forum that had appealed in the Apex Court for permission to transport the remaining extracted coal.
The Hima Nongstoin association general secretary, AL Syiem, told that it had impleaded the forum and other party as pro forma respondents and the claim that the forum fought on the issue “is absolutely wrong and misleading”.
Syiem also issued the copy of the order from the Supreme Court, which clearly stated that the State Coordination Committee was respondent No.8.
He added that the association had also filed the petition with a request for proper maintain of royalty system where the Supreme Court will soon conduct the hearing. Syiem added that the Supreme Court, upon hearing the appeal filed by HNLOCTPA, was pleased to pass an order directed to allowed transportation of the already extracted coal.
He further stated that BJP’s Nalin Kohli, who was thanked by the State Coordination Committee because he was one of the advocates, was not true and it was not mentioned so in the order, “which also proved that the committee is a core group of BJP”.
