To Sunday Shillong,

The articles on Synod Higher Secondary School and two other schools in the state celebrating their long journey published on November 12 were encouraging, especially at a time when the education system in the state is in the trough. Shillong was once known for its quality education and the western etiquettes which were immaculately taught in every school. However, things are different now and what remain are remnants of the past.
Synod School is among the institutes which have been on a progressive journey. To look back at its humble past and witness its glorious presence through the article was a delight. Being said that, I would like to point out one flaw in it. The current principal of the school is A Phira and not DR Shullai as mentioned in the report.

Thanking you
S Phanbuh

To Sunday Shillong,

It is really good to know that youths in Shillong are thinking out of the box and plunging into unique ventures. Food business is a flourishing one in the city and one can take advantage of the inflating clientele with innovation. The concept of The Chicken Wagon, which is planning to be a mobile stall, is interesting and I feel this venture deserves a thumbs up. I also feel that the team should come up with more such wagons and visit the nearby tourist spots and localities where options are limited. I am sure they will not lose on their money. I would like to know that if readers and well-wishers want to suggest ideas to such ventures, in this case The Chicken Wagon, then how to contact the proprietors. It will be nice if an email ID or a contact number is mentioned below such reports for the convenience of readers.

Thanking you
Jennifer Thangkhiew

Sunday Shillong answers:

Thank you Jennifer for your suggestion. We will definitely try to mention the necessary information with stories such as ‘Forget Kentucky, get local crisps’. In cases when there are no contact details, readers are always welcome to send in their suggestions to [email protected]. For the particular report,
you can send your suggestions to chickenwagon.com.
