SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) Mawthadraishan circle on Friday informed Minister in-charge Community and Rural Development Comingone Ymbon about lack of development in the Block.
Speaking to reporters after meeting the minister, HNYF president of the circle B Marbaniang said, “We have requested the minister to immediately repair the Mawthadraishan C&RD block office. There is no maintenance and the building is in a poor condition.”
Informing that there is a shortage of employees at the C&RD block, he said, “There is less number of staff at the C&RD block. Also, there is only one block development officer.”When asked about their demand for removal of the present BDO, Marbaniang said, “The minister has assured us that he will depute a new BDO at the block. However, he did not give any time frame for that.”
The HNYF circle president said the current BDO is inexperienced and never available in the block.
