SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) has alleged that Raliang legislator, Comingone Ymbon misused his MLA scheme with regard to housing for the poor.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, Emjingmut Law, the president of HANM Laskein circle said, “There was partiality on the part of the MLA as white ink was applied to block out the names of beneficiaries and given to others.”
He informed that white ink was applied on the names of 21 people while there are 97 beneficiaries of the grant.
Law said only Rs 27, 000 was given to the beneficiaries as against Rs 48,500 as housing grant to the poor under the scheme.
