SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP) will organise its general council meeting at Asom Kristi Kendra here December 15.
The meeting will deliberate at length the issues concerning the 2018 Assembly elections.
The meeting proves to be significant as the general council will deliberate on the common minimum programme (CMP) while the manifesto would be ready after the general meeting on December 15.
The CMP bears significance for the UDP-HSPDP alliance as the regional parties have had separate agendas in the past.
Prominent leaders from all over Khasi-Jaintia Hills and Garo Hills are expected to attend the UDP meeting.
