SHILLONG: The People’s Democratic Front (PDF) will welcome Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Chief Executive Member (CEM), PN Syiem, during a public meeting at Polo Fifth ground on December 19.
Ever since PDF was floated in the month of March this year, speculations were rife that Syiem was the force behind the party yet he chose to keep mum over the matter.
Suspended from the Congress for three years, he resigned as MLA on Friday and subsequently resigned from the Congress party on Saturday.
During the public meeting, the PDF will also create awareness about the issues that the party will fight for in the forthcoming Assembly election.
