SHILLONG: Sezarul H Kharkongor, an independent candidate is all set to contest against sitting MLA of Mahendraganj constituency, Dikkanchi D Shira who is the wife of chief minister, Mukul Sangma.
Kharkongor contested the previous elections from Tikrikilla constituency. For the Assembly elections 2018, he will contest against Shira, and other aspiring candidates from NPP, UDP, BJP.
Mahendraganj Legislative Assembly Constituency is located close to the state’s border with Bangladesh in Garo Hills region.
