SHILLONG: The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), PN Syiem will begin his first election campaign as a Peoples’ Democratic Front (PDF) member by addressing a public gathering at Madan Khawang, Ummulong, Jaintia Hills on Wednesday.
The meeting will be held to highlight the issues that the PDF is fighting for before the people coming from various villages under Nartiang constituency. on Tuesday,
The PDF will formally welcome Syiem to the party at a public gathering at 5th Ground, Polo on Tuesday.
Syiem has resigned as an MLA on December 15, a day after the conclusion of the Winter Session of the State Assembly and resigned from the Congress party on the following day.
